The 9th edition of the yearly Villa Romana publication consisted of five separate artist contributions collated in a simple cardboard box. The scattered look and feel of this publication, containing different formats, tries to represent the diverse spirits and methodology of this year’s residency.
Mapping Palestinian Politics
Website designed for the European council on Foreign Relations. This website aims to unravel and explain the intricate structure of Palestinian institutions. While facilitating navigation and readability on different supports, the look and feel tries to communicate the values of the NGO and the dignity of institutional, national identities.
Support – Design Museum
For the Designers in Residence 2017 exhibition at Design Museum London, we have designed a series of coordinated elements that reflect on the yearly theme Support. The catalogue displays a custom made headline font. In the exhibition space, those items that function as holders and hangers are ‘highlighted’ in green. In the catalogue, the same role is played by the green thread used for binding and revealed in the spine of the booklet. The photo shoots have been staged in different locations, each one relevant to the single designer’s project.

London Works
Website design for London Works: a series of workshops and a competition for architecture students organised by Mark Lemanski in collaboration with the University of East London, focused on the transformation of an industrial estate in London into residential use.
Tehran – Life Within Walls
For Tehran – Life within Walls, we have designed a hard cover book cut on 3 edges. The content was designed as a classic academic essay with contemporary Photographic and Appendix sections. While the cover paper texture resamples a wall surface, overall, the design aims to enhance the feelings of freedom and constriction within a mental and physical space.
In collaboration with authors Hamed Khosravi and Amir Djalali.

Villa Romana Premiati 2016
For Villa Romana catalogue 2016 we designed a paperback volume made of four sections, one for each of the resident artists: Jonas Weichsel, Nico Joana Weber, Flaka Haliti and Stefan Vogel. The production of the book is the result of a long dialogue with the four artists. The final result is a unique product showcasing a series of paper stocks and different half-covers which underline the different identities of the artists and their work.
