A Selective Guide to the V&A’s South Asian Collection

During her combine residency programme at Delfina foundation and Victoria and Albert Museum, Indian contemporary artist Avani Tanya has interpreted a selection of exhibits and found documents from the V&A South Asian collection. This paper back (96 pages) booklet is the result of her research in London, showcasing a series of reflections on post-colonialism and curated contributions from a collective of artists. The design decisions taken during the process are the result of a series of attempts to both imitate and reinterprete the visual language of the museum and its archive.
