10 Frische Eier / Weimar, 2005, Eggs on Grey Wall. /

I emptied out 10 eggs and filled them with painting. Then, I smashed the eggs on a wall not after adding a stencil which works as a plaque to explain the art-piece (10 Fresh Eggs - Weimar, 2005, Eggs on Grey Wall). This illegal action became really popular and it opened a discussion about public space. After the action was published on blogs, newspapers and radio stations, the 10 fresh eggs became very popular to the public. The architect who designed the building together with a commission of academics decided to transform the wall into an "open source" facade: they asked artists to come up with ideas to decorate the facade. Where's the queen?

This action was inspired by a book of Roland Barthes. / To hide can be seen as a form of resistence, especially in photography, the photographer (operator) is in charge of power... By hiding, the subject subverts this power and takes its individuality out of the Photo. Even by not being there./ Action made together with Florian Conradi / and the photographer Georg Molterer /.

Marginais

When I walk in the streets, I am fascinated by the plants that grow on pavements and in corners. They are growing invisibly, without permission. They are not included in urban planning, they don't exist, but still they live against authority. Marginais is a 1 minute video shot in Gneisenaustrasse, Berlin. Watch the video /.

Acrylic on Canvas. / In this project, I start playing with the meaning of the word "Icon" referred to the internet (little images made of 16X16 pixels) and culture (important characters). I would like to realize a series of these images, for the moment I painted this one.
