During Residenzamuseo 01, a self-initiated residency programme at Museo San Domenico, in Imola, I used the rooms of the museum for studying and work. I soon discovered that the rooms now dedicated to contemporary art were, during the 16th century, the library space of the Dominican friars living in this former monastery. Drawing a link with this former role of the space, I started collecting books on the topic of libraries, to be exhibited in the room and available to the exhibition viewers for reading.
