After 9/11 we all have seen the surveillance on our private life increasing dramatically. Every day, 10% of our phone calls are tracked... in our way to work we are followed by the eye of 50 surveillance cameras. All our conversations, chats, emails, sms, are stored somewhere in databases, ready for the moment the power needs it.

What if we cannot trust anymore those in power? In my opinion, this topic, the whole privacy issue, is too much undiscussed, covered with the excuse that everything is made for our own security. Privacy is no more something that is provided to us by default, we have to create ways to build up our own privacy.

This scarf, in my opinion, is not just a fashion object, neither is there just to represents the struggle of palestinian fighters: it is a symbol of dissent in its broader sense, it's a statement against the authority, against oppression.
